The Euro/USD continues to decline; yesterday the Euro edged down against the US dollar for the third consecutive day; the Yen sharply fell yesterday against the USD. Furthermore, many other currencies also depreciated against the U.S dollar including the Aussie dollar and Canadian dollar. Gold and Silver also traded down on Thursday; finally, crude oil price (WTI) also fell yesterday.
Here is a summary of the development of major currencies for March 22nd:
The Euros to US Dollar slightly declined by 0.11% to 1.3201; during the month, the EUROS/USD declined by 0.93%. Australian Dollar to US Dollar also fell by 0.68% to 1.0388.
The U.S dollar to Canadian dollar rose to 0.999. During March the USD/CAD exchange rate edged up by 1.12%.
The GBP to USD decreased by 0.33% to 1.5821; from the beginning of the month the GBP to USD decreased by 0.58%.
Finally, the U.S Dollar/ Yen sharply fell by 1.07% to 82.53.
Gold price slightly declined on Thursday by 0.47% to $1,642.5. During March, gold price decreased by 4.02%.
WTI oil price also fell by 1.78% and reached $104.96 per barrel; during the month the WTI decreased by 1.97%.
