Euro/USD ended the week falling| USD –CAD declined – September 16

The Euro to US dollar exchange rate closed the week falling; the US dollar also appreciated yesterday against other major currencies including the YEN and GBP, but the USD depreciated against the Canadian dollar and Australian dollar.  Here is a summary of the price movements of major exchange rates for September 16th:


The EURO to US Dollar exchange rate declined yesterday by 0.58% and reached 1.3796. During September, the EURO to US Dollar declined by 4.0%. GBP-USD also slightly fell yesterday by 0.06% to 1.579.

On the other hand, the Australian dollar to US dollar inclined by 0.32% to 1.036. During September, the AUD/USD declined by 3.2%.

US dollar to Canadian exchange rate shed 0.56% of its value on Friday to 0.9781. This exchange rate reached its initial level from the beginning of the month.

Commodities prices:

Gold price sharply inclined yesterday by 1.87% to $1,814. During September, gold price decreased by 0.9%.

WTI Spot oil price on the other hand fell by 1.61% to $87.96 per barrel; during September the WTI spot oil price declined by 1.0%.
